Books donated by Ronald Roskens

The Ronald W. Roskens Papers include materials related to Ronald W. Roskens' work as Vice President for Administration and Executive Vice President and Professor of Educational Administration at Kent State University (1959-1972), Chancellor of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (1972-1977), President of the University of Nebraska System (Central Administration in Lincoln, Nebraska) (1977-1989), Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (1990-1992), and President of Action International (1992-1995). The collection is sealed to the public until Roskens' death.



New material added 2016-01-06: These materials include correspondence related to Professor Roskens' years as Director of USAID. There are also materials related to his removal in 1989 as President of the University of Nebraska. There are also a few of Roskens Speeches, as well as a variety of materials used to write these speeches. A self-published autobiography of Professor Roskens, My Life: The First Eight Decades (2015), is also included. This material is likewise closed to researchers until the death of Ronald W. Roskens and his wife Lois.



New material added 2016-02-09: These materials include correspondence related to Professor Roskens’ years as Director of USAID. There are also materials related to his removal in 1989 as President of the University of Nebraska. The two boxes in this donation are the second and third boxes of a donation which will include four to six more boxes over the next few months. This material is likewise closed to researchers until the death of Ronald W. Roskens and his wife Lois.

The collection is closed until after the death of Ronald W. Roskens and his wife Lois, by deed of gift. Consult Archives & Special Collections staff for assistance. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records.
