Dorothy Patach was born in South Omaha in 1923. She graduated from the Nebraska School of Nursing (Lincoln) in 1944. While working at Clarkson Hospital, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the Municipal University of Omaha. Patach joined staff the Municipal University of Omaha/University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1959 and retired in 1989.
