University of Nebraska at Omaha. Computing and Data Communications
Information Services, formerly Campus Computing, is the University of Nebraska at Omaha department responsible for planning, acquisition, development, maintenance, and administration of all campus-wide computer and information systems for students, faculty, and staff at UNO. The department has changed names several times: Campus Computing (1982-1987), Campus Computing/Data Communications (1988), Computing and Data Communications (C&DC) (1989-1998), Information and Technology Services (ITS) (1999-2009), and Information Services (IS) (2010-present). Prior to the establishment of a formal department, UNO had a University Computer Usage Committee. UNO established a Computer Center in 1964 in Arts & Sciences Hall, with a lab for student use.
