Scope and Contents Note This subseries contains photographs from Hagel's time as U.S. Senator. Photographs in this subseries show the many facets of working as a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. including meeting with fellow Congressmen, attending events, and delivering speeches. There is one file included at the beginning of this subseries which contains images from Hagel's work on President Reagan's 1981 Inaugural Ball Committee. It is in this subseries because it covers work Chuck Hagel did in Washington, D.C.

Scope and Contents Note The photographs in this subseries span from 1923-2006 and include images of Chuck Hagel's extended family. People pictured include Chuck's grandparents and extended family on his father's side, photos from Chuck's childhood with his parents and 3 brothers, and later his nuclear family including Lilibet, Allyn, and Ziller. There are a series of negatives and photographs that were maintained by his mother, Betty Hagel Breeding, which contain photos from family and holiday occasions.
