Hayhome, Barbara

Barbara Hayhome (1942-1995) joined the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1978 as a Professor of Biology, ascending to chair of that department in 1984. She specialized in genetics. In 1989, she was appointed Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs for UNO. She also served as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies. She passed away in 1995, from cancer.



The Barbara Hayhome Scholarship is awarded annually to a biology student at UNO.
