Ann Newton was prominent for many years at the Faculty Women's Club at UNO. She was married to Jack Newton, a longtime professor of psychology at UNO.

Durham Science Center blueprints, Circa 1985-1987

Scope and Contents Blueprints (five sheets, rolled) for the Durham Science Center on the UNO campus. The blueprints were created by HDR (Henningson, Durham, and Richardson), and identify the building as the "Lab Science Building." The Lab Science Building opened in 1987 and was soon thereafter renamed the Durham Science Center. The blueprints are misidentified as being for Allwine Hall in the handwritten label penciled on the back of one of the sheets.

The Jack Newton Papers comprise the paper files of Dr. John Milton "Jack" Newton, longtime professor of psychology (1960-1999) who served as Dean of Arts and Sciences (1974-1994) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. These file folders, envelopes, and loose papers have not yet been further arranged or described.

Scope and Contents A silver lighter with "UNO" in turquoise gemstone vertically attached to the object. The lighter is 3.5 inches tall. The lighter would have been used to light cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or similar.

UNO Maverick button, Not earlier than 1974. Most likely late 1970s to early 1980s.

Scope and Contents One button featuring the UNO Maverick with puffs of air coming out of the bull’s nose. The bull is a longhorn, red with a white muzzle, viewed directly face on. This version of the UNO mascot was in use from about the mid 1970s until about the mid 1980s.
