John "Jack" Shroder is Emeritus Professor of Geography and Geology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He received his B.S. from Union College, M.S. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and Ph.D. from the University of Utah. His research interests include geomorphology, natural resources, mountain geography, Hindu Kush, Himalaya, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
