Peter Kiewit Institute

The Peter Kiewit Institute is a research center located on the Pacific Street campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. It was established by a collaborative effort by the University of Nebraska at Omaha's College of Information Science and Technology and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's College of Engineering, and students attending PKI might obtain their degrees from either UNO or UNL. PKI collaborates heavily with businesses in the Omaha area, and student are encouraged to pursue practical solutions to industry problems through these partnerships. Ground broke in 1997, and PKI opened its doors in 1999.
