University of Nebraska at Omaha. Center for Urban Affairs
The Center for Urban Affairs (CUA) was a predecessor of the Center for Public Affairs Research (CPAR), a subordinate unit of the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS). The center was established in 1963 as the Urban Studies Center (USC). In 1968, it was reorganized and renamed the Center for Urban Affairs (CUA). In 1971, it was renamed the Center for Applied Urban Research (CAUR). In 1972, it moved under the umbrella of the newly-established CPACS. In 1989, CAUR was renamed to the Center for Public Affairs Research (CPAR). The organization connects UNO to the Omaha and Nebraska communities through research and community outreach.
